John Berry formerly known as the basterd son of the aristocratic Diplomat residing in england Count Vorontsov, who at that time belonged to one of the mightiest noble families in russia, fled for his life to the carribean after the son of Count Vorontsov, Gavril Vorontsov, found out about his so called older “half-brother” and attempted to get rid of him. As John Berry fled, the instigator Gavril Vorontsov would marry in 1672 right after becoming the new Count of the Vorontsov family and father Larion Gavrilovich Vorontsov, forever closing the doors to John Berry having any claims to any lands of the Vorontsovs.Shipwrecked on the Island of Bermuda he spent his first 3 months practicing his sword fighting skills, while gambling with drunks and listening to stories in the local tavern. This is his logbook of his exploits and his Encounters as he rises from the ashes of the void to rise anew with a new life and a new name to uphold in the carribean and to build a legacy that would put a deep mark into the future history of the carribean.

Logbook of John Berry, Captain of the Heavy Hooker “Might”:
27th February 1665Captured a Spnish Carrack under heavy causalities. Lost 2 officers.
Lost 80 men in that fight.
Dirty old spanish blokes put up a good fight but were no match in the end.
Ship was filled to the brim with cannons.28th February 1665
Persuaded 2 Cpatains to join me on my ship.
One spanish and one english guy, they dont seemt to like each other very well.
Fully restocked supplies and Crew at Bermuda.
3rd March 1665Captured a spanish Xebec with no causalities.
My men are getting better and better at Boarding.
A fine ship that xebec is. Found some look on those spaniards.
Among it a holy chross of St. Jospeh of Anchieta.6th March 1665
Hired another captain and made her a fighting officer.
Bought a treasure map aswell.
14th March 1665
Grasped a dutch Bilander.
Very few causalities.
17th March 1665Managed to recruit John Morris. I certainly seem to have some inherited diplomatic skills in me which i never thought to be possessing. We overtook his class 5 English 6th rater and made it my new main ship. His men are an unruly bunch, but that is because they had not a single ship Encounter in months.
20th March 1665
Took on a Polacker of the brotherhood of the coast and a Spanish Galleon singlehandedly. Sold the ships for quite a Profit and the men start to believe in me.
21st March 1665
Recruited another two captains to my cause. Sold their puny boats and gave them Tasks Fitting to their accomodations and Status. Their weapons and men were welcomed on the 6th rate aswell.
27th March 1665First Encounter of French ships. Took down the Traders with wase. One Polacker and one Galleon are my own property now. Sadly we lost one of the captains in the skirmish atop the Galleon.
