Have you been able to figure out what the issue was? I’ve been trying to launch it around once every day just to test if anything’s changed but it hasn’t. I get the same issue every time I try to launch it.

Okay, I finally received a log error detailing what went wrong. The content for the error message I had is here:

COMPILE ERROR – file: seadogs.c; line: 330

Know what this means?

Well I don’t have the debuginfo or tracefile options in my start.ini file. Any idea how to add them?

Unfortunately for me this glitch happens even after I applied both the update and engineupdate files. Since I don’t know where my log file is, I’ll tell you I’m using Windows 10. As for the log files, I need to know where the program typically stores its logs to find them.

Well I’ve finally managed to get past the MEGA download paywall by downloading all those parts individually, for some reason my game fails to load every dll library it needs on startup. The files are there in the correct folder, just for some reason the game compiler doesn’t recognize them. Any idea why this is?

Once again, MEGA is preventing me from being able to download any of its files. It has a system in place that prevents you from downloading any files that are above 5 MB unless you pay a monthly subscription for more bandwidth. It says that they cannot open because they are not archives.

I’m having problems with trying to run GoF ERAS 6.0 on my computer. I’m using the files from the Update.zip folder alone to try to run the game, and every time I do, I get this error of “interfaces.ini file not found!” I don’t know how to fix this, and any suggestions on how to fix it would be welcomed.

Turns out I didn’t have fullscreen mode activated. My bad. Everything works good now. Case is closed for now.

I have found what was causing the issue. It was the dvm.dll file in the ERAS folder that was causing it. I don’t know why exactly this was causing that, but I managed to get the game working by taking the same file from the Age of Pirates 2 disk and putting it into my ERAS folder. I’m installing my game in my optical disk drive. It’s named E:. My game is in its own folder there. It’s named ERAS1.5.7. in that drive. My C: drive is an SSD which does not have enough space in it for the unpacked game, hence why I have it in the E: Drive.

EDIT: It WAS in the C: drive before I moved it to my new volume drive.

I installed TAGES protection system, but that didn’t seem to work. I don’t know what else to do as all roads point to that system.

I’m sorry to say that all roads lead to TAGES drivers on this issue. I’m researching this problem, but every forum, video, and article related to this topic says nothing but “download TAGES”. It seems like the only way to get my game to work other than waiting for the mega patch to be released.

Mega doesn’t require payment, however you have to wait several more hours for the game to download.

As I am trying to download the file from MegaSYNC, it gives me a message saying “select pay system or continue download in 8 hours”. I don’t have the money to be paying for their services, nor do I want to. This is obviously a problem with the hosting company. I would liked to also make a report about two other bugs I have found while playing. They are 1: The HUD displays for my fighters don’t appear and 2: during the Kill the Beggars quest, the Dutch guards that are supposed to appear in the Keymaster’s residence never show up, locking you in his house for all eternity.

I would like to say that the F1 button on the command panel worked fine until I updated GOF Eras with the patch Jeffrey made. I think the problem lies in the combination with the re-init feature for the textures and models of Age of Pirates 2 COAS. Actually, my game ran perfectly fine earlier. In fact, I have rarely seen these errors that the patch fixes. I don’t know why the F1 button on the command panel is not working, but I don’t think it has do to with me running Windows 10.
