How do you set an armor item to require or not require the cuirass skill to be worn (such as the French fencing gloves)? How do you do the same with pistols and the shooting skills?
Would it be possible to link swords to a fencing skill in the same manner? -

Currently the breastplates made of metal together with other materials are all outclassed by even the English placard, and by the time you have the cuirass skill those are widely available. Where is the quest with the six murderers defined/coded (those that want the hero to go with them to the local cave and dungeon before midnight)? How is it that officers can’t follow into the cave when the quest is active while they can otherwise?

The old and damaged ships that citizens wish to sell are, even att he beginning with low trading skill, cheaper to buy than what the local shipwright will pay for them. Is that intentional? From the looks of it, concole.c governs at least some of the ship upgrades and some other things. Won’t those features disappear if I replace everything, or is the code in console.c redundant?

I can’t find “bWorldAlivePause = true” anywhere in console.c, where should I type in “bWorldAlivePause = false”?
There is such an entry in the file seadogs.c though, could that be it instead of console.c?
How will this affect saved games, is it save-game compatible? -

The English have sentenced the officer in the prison to hang the next day according to Morgan so if you make him a permanently lasting character you might want to edit the dialogue too and change that part of the backstory. Otherwise, if you want to maintain the urgency the quest currently presents, the officer could be give a lifespan of two days…[Read more]

Ah, yes that item filter was a neat thing indeed. Very convenient changes, the item management and looting of chests is a tedious hassle many times.

I just completed the third mission in the Dutch campaign where you eventually need to rescue an English soldier from the Antigua fort. Entering the prison all my four surviving officers followed me but upon exiting (after taking a prisoner-treasure quest while I was at it) none of the officers follow but the guards are respawned.

This thread is for discussion of everyones view of the bounty hunters, both the shore ruffians and persistent squadrons. Do you think of them as privateers out for your head only or naval specialists with your ships on a long list of missions? How should they be represented in the game, should anything be changed?
