Its a bug,I had the same problem.
MK posted a easy fix that worked perfect for me.Thanks to MK!!!go to Program\loc_ai\LAi_utilites
Go halfway down the page until you see Pirate models listed (1 through 28). Delete lines (1017 to 1034) pirates 11 thru 28. The character index will not handle more than 10 in the Pearl town quests and so it causes a stack error.
And thats all,Now White Boy and the rest must be there in the village if you kill the sentry before he alerts the village(or have spanish trading/Letter of marque).
Mk,says that you probably must start new game,but i loaded a previous save before enter to the jungle level where is the sentry and it worked without start new game.

Thanks Jeffrey,the problem is previously I accidentally sunk a spanish ship when i trying to defend him in a battle against pirates,because of that my Letter of marque dissapeared automatically from my items so I bought another letter of marque from diplomat and works perfect now!!!

One more question,I love the old and broken flying dutchman sails.I know this is unrealistic but
Is there any chances to maintain/obtain this sails for Flying Dutchman?Because when you captured Flying Dutchman you can sail with the old and broken,but when you enter to navigation map the sails turn default whites.

Sorry Im not well writting in english to express my thanks to you for this mod.I have no words to express due to my poor english,i hope you understand me hehehe
For me is the best mod of all the piracy games,after 10 months withoout playing,now Im downloading the mod+update for play this christmas and enjoy this mod again.
The vanilla game is old and buggy but you expanded his universe and added a lot stuff,you remake this game,make enjoyable,historic and realistic.
Tons of hours and fun sailing,trading and piracy with this mod so im so sad this web will dissapear soon and all of you work too.Sorry again for my english,from Spain to Idaho,thanks Modernknight1 for this mod.

News.
I found russian mods with program folder,but the Pirates oddisey game dont read the archives properly from PROGRAM folder,so they put did a trick,renamed x_ to all archives,for example
rename “error_dialog.”c => “x_error_dialog.c” and then link this inside archive “dialog.c”(now x_dialog.c) for proper recognitions like this:
1.in x_dialog.c the first line(or lines):#include dialog.c => #include x_dialog.c
2.in the line if( !LoadDialogFiles(“error_dialog.c”) => if( !LoadDialogFiles(“x_error_dialog.c”)
….And the same with ALL archives inside PROGRAM folder and the game read Program folder properly
Also the Seadogs.c is esencial because contains a lot of lines with “#include” that must be linked and need rename
#include “characters\characters.c” => #include “characters\x_characters.c”ANd finally Engine.ini only need one change in “run=seadogs.c”
run=seadogs.c => run=x_seadogs.c,this make the game init run x_seadogs(this x_seadogs.c previously modified with all the lines “#include x_XxXxX” linked)like this for example:
#include “characters\x_characters.c”
#include “interface\x_interface.h”All the lines “#include xxxxxxxx” must have modified with x_ like above and the game read the entire program folder.
Thats all.I hope you can understand what i say hahahhaha
This is the way the russian modders make mods and work properly with program folder in Pirates Oddisey.
So if they did it,they previously has decoded and extracted Program folder to make his mods. -

I dont know if i post this in right place.
-When I leave the colony Le francoise with a squadron with 5 or more ships(when I arrived no problem) the ship listed 5(i suppose 6,7,8 in squadron will have the same problem) automatically appers in the other side of island,in middle of martinique french fort.
I know this because when i tried to leave to the worldmap a message appears about that ship is fighting and if you leave the ship left your squadron.
I dont see where is the ship but I know the ship appears near the fort french because the ship is quickly sink.So cant enter in Le francois with 5 ships or more because they’ll never leave the colony.
-English 64 gunner has ilimited cannons,every time i click “remove all or fix all” give me thousands of cannons.Minor bugs and fixes.
-Please replace “annoying drum sound” in worldmap encounters if you want,i think the drum sounds too loud and disturbing, broke the game atmosfera.
-Mostly Spanish captains have “fake and irreal” names.The hero Blas De Lezo is wrong,you put “BlaZ”Thanks for your work.

One word about this mod:EPIC.
First of all,sorry for my english.After years i back to AOP 2 try this mod and now is like drug for me.
For example: I start a new game(pirate/corsair)I do missions cargo between pirates colonies to make some money.
When I have 4 ships a british 64 gun ship appers and destroy quickly my poor trades ship(level 5-6) and my french ship(class 4 but i dont remember the name).So i reload the game and play my best combat in this game,epic.
I attack with grapeshot and run,because two shot close to me with his cannons=sunk.
But i was still fighting surrounding the ship and attacking with grapeshot with my 4 ships,he sunk my galleon and the others dont resist the next shoot,when i think everything was lost a “miracle” occurs, the english 64 gunner surrender(mod option ocassionally)when i kill mostly his crew(hull was practically intacte).Now,sadly I know why my game freeze in battle every 5 seconds because “british 64 gun ship” but i resist to sell because is my best ship with all upgrades and love the way i get.
Again sorry for my english,i only register to say Thanks for create this epic mod

Yes,these “gabachos” want me dead too. Bounty Hunters are coming for my head.
I usually play as pirate but this new game as Spanish.
And I love hunting and killing English and Pirates(they are the same thing) this must be national sport in Golden Era. 🙂 -

Sorry,its my fault I didnt see the fix.
But the good news is that I edited the file with your fix(delete the lines with pirate models) and load a previous save before enter the “sentry zone”,I killed sentry and enter the village and it WORKS.White boy is there and finally i can continue the flying dutchman quest without start new game and lost all the progress.
