***This is resolved.*** I had a file that was updated soon after I first downloaded the game, and some of the script in the old file caused this problem.
Thanks again to Jeffrey for the assistance!

If it helps, I only found out about ERAS2 by chancing on a few Youtube videos, and decided to look into why some were labeled AoP vs GoF. Normally, I use Steam for my game purchases, and they still have AoP on there under the Sea Dogs name. So, if people are looking for a pirate game, and they don’t bother looking past Steam, they may get AoP and not ever be aware of this game’s existence.

The Urca de Lima…yeah that was a badass ship.

I ran into a punitive expedition from the Spanish last night…that was intense. There were 10 ships, and some were carracks with 42 and 36 pounders. Class 4 frigates minimum, everything else was class 3 galleons/carracks, 6 ships kept distance and ran away, so idk if there were any more powerful in the group. I do believe those are rare spawns, because I hadn’t seen those before.
Something to avoid: bold privateers. I ran into those, and dragged them to St. John’s in Antigua. They are a HUGE pain in the ass! They don’t surrender, and they WILL board your ships under intense fire from the fort, any friendly ships in the area, and your group. If you want to try them, make a separate save, or else you may regret it.

Holy crap, that looks badass; the ship looks like a million…daalders lol. And it should, too. I wonder about the inside; would it have had Indian influence for the interior cabin?

Hey Korinthian! On your first item, class 2 ships and class 1 ships usually stay at important ports. Look to Puertobello and Santa Catalina, or Havana; those should provide a good nearby lead for you to act on, no matter where you are in the Caribbean. Also, if you accept random convoy attack missions, it looks like quite a few characters have class 2 ships as well. If they get boarded, and captured, then the ship is fair game for you to take in turn *hint-hint*

Here’s my squadron:
Flagship ‘Behemoth’, 102-gun Man-o’-War
French Corvette, Class 4 ‘Foxhound’
Flota Galeon ‘Fenix’
Frigatte (Spanish Frigate) ‘Tiger’s Claw’
76-gun warship, formerly ‘Ganj-i-Sawai’, now the ‘Chimera’
Dutch 3rd-Rater ‘Reliant’
Recent prizes caught too close to Port Royal (I must have made the Spanish REALLY mad raiding Caracas!)
Almirante Galeon
Primera Tosa Espanola, 108 guns, modeled from the San Felipe (Gods, what a monster…)
And lastly…my first, and forever only mutiny, the original starting ship after a full upgrade. Heavy Brig ‘Honeybadger’
My task force is fully upgraded, with exception to Behemoth and Reliant, because their hull strength is already enough.
They are a very effective fighting force. Faster ships will be chased by Foxhound, and chainshotted. The rear is protected by Reliant and the ‘Claw, however they are more than capable of assisting wherever needed; these are almost as quick as Foxhound. The Reliant is 60 guns, capable of 42 pounders, but she has 24lb culverins mounted, giving her a shallower draft, and bonus to speed and agility. Fenix is strictly on cargo hauling duty, protected by Chimera.
Munitions are stowed aboard Behemoth, to be distributed as needed after battle. Reliant’s hold can be used for hauling after a city raid/treasure fleet raid, along with Fenix.
For the forts: Behemoth, Chimera, and Tiger’s Claw, with Reliant on close standby. Everyone else has lowered sails outside of the fort’s range.

Email sent.

I believe I can send two.
The first one will be exactly just before the first henchman in the cave sees my character.
The second is before a boarding action before I headed to Belize. I forget at which point of the quest it’s at, but I’ll let you know when I send the email.
I’m on lunch break right now, so I’ll see to it shortly.

That was it…either the Veinard Heavy Sloop was too big, or it being upgraded interfered. I got another class 6 with no upgrade, a schooner, and got a log update showing he would all for the ruse.

Ok, so if I sail out of Port of Spain heading west, and maybe exit to sea once I round the peninsula toward Cumana, that might work? I’ll try that, maybe criss-cross over a few days, then approach from the opposite direction.
Do upgraded class 6 ships interfere with the quest? I did upgrade the speed and point of sail.

“Thanks for sharing your screenshots! Looks like you’re having fun. Can’t wait to show off the new textures for the Ganji Sawai. Will be finished today.”
I friggin love this game, man; well worth the effort in setting it up, and paying for the engine. I can’t wait to see what the Ganji will look like.
“It appears the emblems on the sails available from the special shipyards is not working right again. Will have to talk to Jeffrey about that. Was that what you selected for your brig or were you trying to get something else?”
Gotta be honest with you…it didn’t dawn on me that the symbol on my sails is the default ‘save slot’ logo until much later after I made the selection. Those were what I chose, and it does look kinda cool on the square sails, imo. It isn’t a glitch.

For sure, I had a lot. A shame, too; it was a long post. I’ll try redoing it, but broken apart over time.

Those look amazing! I’d love to see what you’ve done with G-i-S, and I’m into this game for the long haul. I’ve only crashed on one session so far, everything looks fantastic, and I’m really having a lot of fun overall with it.
