So here we have a topic where you can post pictures of whatever you want.
I got this idea from my pictures of the week segment that I just updated. I thought to myself. What if other people have pictures they would like to provide and talk about.
So the guidelines are pretty open. Nothing obscene – OK.
I would prefer it to be pictures of historical events or significance.
If you post the picture – please also provide a little narrative about why. Why is it important? What is interesting about it? We already have an excellent topic for screenshots so I would prefer you not put screenshots here unless you want to compare them with a real historical picture – or something like that.
It can even be pictures of a personal nature. If you are building a sword from scratch or making your own artwork, why not show it off here? If you’ve been to a museum and have some cool pictures – show them off here for everyone!
Also no Pirate chick pictures here. I will start a separate topic for that in a minute.
So I will get us started. Look at this:
This picture is of the now defunct video game – “Age of Pirates: Captain Blood”. What a shame they never finished it. For years there were rumors of finished dev versions of this game floating around. I even found a torrent one time – I still have it but it is impossible to open. I would love to get the ship models in that game. This is not the only saved screenshot I have of it. I will say here and now that I will offer a generous bounty for any gathered and useable ship models provided from the game files of this never released game.
Next are pictures of our new logos made by Orazio. Me and the BR team have been busy trying out new logos for licensing. I have some of my own different from the original you may have seen. I think for now the black one is what we are gonna go with. Cheers to Orazio!!!
Speaking of Orazio, here’s a little teaser of what he is working on. WOW!!!!!
Next is a photo of one of the Spanish flags I put into the game. This is from an actual 17th century book on flags. For those who have told me it’s historically incorrect, I refer you to this contemporary illustration.
Last are some pictures of a cannon I’ve been researching. Wow I would love to get some like this in the game. So beautiful!
That’s it for me right now.
Anyone else?
