Here is the PM I’ve been promising for the new Loyal members only update.

This link is only being provided to people who have either contributed content to our efforts, assisted us, or have provided bug reports or participated in discussions and dialogue within Buccaneer’s Reef – it’s members and/or developers within the last year. The following members are on the list to receive Loyalty Updates.

Just because you are a member here does not instantly entitle you to this content. Loyalty implies a contributing member – someone who has taken some time to tell us who they are and help us out, contribute or ask questions (in other words – PARTICIPATE) – not just lurk. Simply open the rar and overwrite/replace existing files when prompted.

Do not put this on top of your current game folder unless you have Jeffrey’s latest update applied FIRST!

CONTENTS:

There are two new ships in here (the new Chaloupe and the Dunkirk/Ferrol Raider) and nearly 30 new skins for 8 different ships in all (11 of these are for the Olandesa alone with Maltacus’ new skins added with my modifications. In addition, there are new cannon sounds and a lot of GREAT new music tracks. (Thanks to Modder01 for some of the new cannon sounds given with his kind permission)

As per member requests to provide better point of sail numbers applicable to select vessels, I have gone through the entire ships list and overhauled ALL ships numbers regarding sailing into the wind performance, speed and turning factors. You will definitely notice the difference. Schooners, large lateen, spanker, gaff or lug-sail equipped vessels now have a definite edge sailing into the wind over square riggers. Square riggers have better acceleration numbers if the wind is abaft and all turning numbers have been dramatically changed. Square riggers with large amounts of stay sail surface will out perform ships without. You will notice that the scale has been widened across the board and larger ships are no longer as responsive in turns as they used to be.

In addition, because of confusion with sail textures and new sail textures, I have included all sail textures currently in game in their correct places. Some of these look like duplicates, but they’re not. Many ships call for unique sail textures for this or that particular ship now. These will overwrite any mistakes that may be present.

I almost have many new town skins and tavern signs ready to go but that will be in the next update. I sensed people were getting impatient so I just posted what I have ready right now – but there is lots more even newer stuff ALMOST ready me hearties!

Looking forward to studying the new sailing statistics, I have also noted some oddities there.

I think you can still get to it.

Upper right, click your name and you should see a short menu. Hover down to Messages, another short menu, click All Member Notices. You should see it there.

No, I don’t have “all member notices” under the messages tab. Only inbox, starred, sent and compose. Perhaps it doesn’t show because I somehow accidently deleted it, but the tab should show regardless and “x” should also close the message, not delete it. Very odd.

Have to say, i always come back to this as even if i didnt really have time for playing much games i was always amazed by this mod. There are few games i always return to. (Another being Mount and Blade Warband with all the amazing mods it has).

See i got a notificiation with the link (the 395 mb Loyalty one) so i assume all account holders got it?

As im dowloading the game yet again (new computer and the last version i played was 2.6 or so anyway) with all this differnt links im honestly lost if this “loyalty” update by now has been added to the regular download (see a 1.5 gigabyte update there) or if its additional stuff thats left out.
