Hello. I wanted to write and tell you guys how much I am loving this mod. I’m really enjoying all the different ships and I appreciate the attention to detail and realism. Stability has been pretty good and I have only experienced the occasional crash, mostly when entering battles with large amounts of ships like the Gold Fleet. Though on reload it usually works right away. One other issue I noticed is that distant islands in sail mode seem to float a little above the water. Also, the rear triangular sail on the Man of War seems to be placed too low, as it dips below the deck and blocks your view completely when you enter first-person mode.
I recently watched a series on Sea Dogs: To Each his Own and I was wondering if you were considering adding any features found in that game. One thing I noticed might be great addition is the “Wait Here” function, where you can select a certain amount of time to wait at a location. Another is the “Time Graduations” visible in the Solar Cycle window in map mode, which would make it easier to see what time you are arriving at a particular location. I also noticed they seem to have removed the “Leave Ships Behind” mechanic when you escape from a battle but your ships are lagging behind a little. This was always a little annoying because giving orders to your companion ships often feels more like a suggestion than an order. Also, when coming out of port with large fleets on some islands, ships can end up on the other side of the island, and if they end up engaged in battle it’s very likely they can be lost without you there to help them.
Another feature I really would love to see would be the ability to climb the rigging and sit in the crows nest. I vaguely remember this being a thing in another mod and I feel would be a great addition to immersion.
Anyway, thanks again for all your hard work. I look forward to what you guys have to offer in the future.

The crash will be patched in the upcomming huge update MK has promised us. It is not ready yet, but I think he may be ready by December and put the newest build under everyones Christmas tree. Maybe, maybe not, only MK knows.
As for the other part with the wait some time, the easiest workaround is to just sleep in your ship or tavern. Thats what I usually do.
Ive not played COAS for a time but I am checking in weekly to see if the new megapatch is out. Also busy with company paid university on the weekends so cant really relax, or have any sort of social life for that matter.
BUT I agree the AI sometimes is behaving oddly. Sometimes its not responding properly to threats, other times its just shooting at you. For example I would love to be actually boarded with the captain being aboard and not in his cabin. If you would manage to kill his officers and the captain, there should be a chance % the boarding crew will give up and surrender, their morale being broken with no leader to turn to and in hope of joining your crew instead.
MY 2 Cents:
1. Distress signals from other ships. special marked as blue sitting in the sea. Those ships would have a chance to spawn on the game after a storm passed, you could either help them gain some reward and honor (loose some planks, food, sailcoth) OR you can take advantage of them and board them.2. Quest that lets you start your own colony on an uninhabitet unmarked island. Lots of options for that one.

I will make note of the suggestions.
However, someone not too long ago, asked for the ‘waiting’ feature from SDTEHO and I did add something similar. At the moment, there is no ability to enter how much time just because I didn’t bother to allow for key input, but you can jump 2 hours.
Make sure you have ERAS.Patch.zip from ERAS, GOF & AoP COAS Files: https://mega.nz/#F!WtMDgRxK!hbeUg86kGLlQAqvWRNwTqg
Wherever your character is, choose ‘Speak Aloud’ and select “Let’s kill some time…” That will jump roughly 2 hours each time.
