Hi Jeffrey!
I’m curious; I know you have no guarantees to a 4k resolution running in the game with no issues, but how would I test it out? Is it as simple as changing a few digits in the code to run 3840×2860 from 1920×1080? -

Testing the new boarding location. Everything seems to be working for now..
At first I created the locators so that every crew would start on its own ship, but then I realized this way they always end up jamming the two gangways between the ships, with all the action focused in that spot.
So now sailors are spawning in a mixed way on both…[Read more] -

@chezjfrey, here I am with another graphical glitch for you!
I’ve finally downloaded ERAS, so I can test my galleon there, and noticed this:
I think the game engine is rendering both sides of the polygons, while it should only render one, from which normals “emanate”.

I shortly came back to this game, mainly to finish the cabin model, and tried two of Jeffrey’s recompiled versions (ERAS2Test and ERAS2TestDX9). There is a problem with shadow maps, that are being ignored by the game: as you see in the following screenshots, there are no shadows and the textures underneath take a strange color, different from the…[Read more]
