Included here is the link to the initial episode of my new – and first ever – YouTube series, a “Let’s Play” featuring Gentlemen of Fortune. I have seven episodes pre-recorded, and I intend to post one video each week. The first video is about an hour long, and the rest to come last roughly three hours each.
Enjoy!

Hey, I watched it 🙂
Your machine is FAST! Love that loading screen/transition speed on your machine. And what’s up with the constant walking? You have too much patience, LOL

Thanks, Jeffrey – I’m running the game on a CybertronPC gaming computer with 16GB of RAM, so I’m pretty happy with how everything runs. I consider the $1100 dollars spent on my system a very good investment now that I’ve had it for a while.
As for the walking, it seems like I draw less attention from guards that way and thus get harassed less often – later on I start running before I discovered that, then I start using the ‘double-time’ key to fast-walk while inside a town.

Nice! Meant to comment earlier. When we get the new website up and running we will be able to better promote these types of things I think.

I am shamelessly going to resurrect this thread because I think we can make it into a collection thread for Gentlemen of Fortune YouTube Let’s Plays.
YouTube is one of the absolutely best ways to market games. The big games companies – like Paradox – realize that. We need to get more Let’s Plays and YouTube material going. Vincent Spencer’s Let’s Play series above actually led me to finding Gentlemen of Fortune in the first place.
So to do my part, I’ve started an LP series as well.

Hey, Antiscamp, glad thatI was able to introduce you to the game! I haven’t played GoF in a while, since I’ve been waiting for a bunch of updates to install so I can be totally amazed when I get back to the game again. I might start up the series again soon, though, since I’m working on producing new content for my channel. Also, I’ve renamed my Google/YouTube account to ‘Captain Sparrow’, if anyone still wants to looka t my content.
With all of the new features added, I’m thinking I’ll try to get back into GoF soon, so players can look forward to a new series – and if I can find a video editing software I like, I can hopefully cut out some of the more uninteresting stuff to shorten the videos and make them more appealing to watch.

Yep! It was your videos that got me here. YouTube Let’s Plays can do wonders to get peoples’ attention!
I’m having too many Let’s Play series going myself now so I haven’t had much time for GoF. I’m in no hurry though. My GoF playthoughs will be going for years to come, I guess. I’m going to record a couple of episodes of it this weekend though to get things going again.
For video editing, I’m using Shotcut. It’s free and relatively simple to get a hang of with lots of tutorials online. I don’t do much editing though. Most of my stuff I just record and throw up on YouTube.
